One of my earliest childhood memories is being taken to the photo booth at the neighborhood Woolworth´s by my father. He wasn´t a photographer, but he loved pictures, and we always had a camera in the house, the first being an early Polaroid model called "The Big Swinger" that produced "instant" photos in about two minutes. My folks and I used it to capture many great moments, and there was always something magical about watching an image take shape right before your eyes that didn´t exist a moment earlier.

However, I didn´t own my first SLR 35mm camera until I was in my 20s. After finishing university in Canada and grad school at Harvard, I went on to study photography for two years during my MFA program at York University under the renowned Canadian photographer Michael Semak.

After graduation, I spent two years in Japan teaching English and photography. Returning to Canada, I started freelancing, doing assignments for a variety of clients. Since then I´ve done promotional campaigns, fashion and editorial work, shot on movie sets, and photographed dozens of celebrities from the world of music, literature and cinema.

This website showcases a selection of my photography in various styles, and is intended as a sample of my work, rather than a comprehensive portfolio. So take a look around, and if you have questions, or would like to inquire about a specific photo or set up a meeting, feel free to contact me.
